Private Prosecutions

Many more people are instituting private prosecutions. This is because the criminal courts can now deliver the sort of redress that a civil claim can achieve. The advantages of the criminal route are many, not least, being cheaper and much quicker with real compensation figures (through confiscation of a defendant’s assets) being in prospect.

Before launching a private prosecution, much needs to be considered.
